When beauty tamed the beast
When beauty tamed the beast

Her circumstances lead her to be engaged to the Beast. Beauty is a good girl with bad luck who is a victim of vicious gossip that destroys her reputation. I loooooved it!! This is a Beauty and the Beast tale. This has been one of those audiobooks that makes me want to pause my everyday life and just listen to it. I just loved this happily ever after for adults! More please Instead there are sick patients, arguments and healing in the harsh but beautiful setting in Wales. Unlike the other regency novels there are no rivals, balls and the ton in this story. I love the banter and battle of the wits that ensues between them. He is a brilliant doctor but has no bedside manners, has horrible temper, is generally cranky and has a bad leg. In this book the heroine Linnet(beauty) is almost faultless while the hero Piers is Dr.House of his time. In this series they were actually romantic as well as sensual and fits the story perfectly. For example, I really don't care for unnecessary long sex scenes and IMHO the author has put in just enough with fun twists. I thought it was going to be a typical regency romance with the Beauty and the Beast storyline, but James sensei adds so much more too it. Do you know anyone who’s that beautiful? What happened to them? (This is a cue to let the conversation wander where it will…here’s my final question: Are you sure there wasn’t a nose job involved?).This is the second Happily Ever After book. If I had to nail down two things that were absolutely essential to the hero and heroine actually surviving marriage together, it would be that Piers had to reconcile with his father, and Linnet had to understand that Piers loved her for more than her beauty. This novel goes in a lot of different directions. Then have another drink and get down to brass tacks: so, who has had a run-in with an impotent man? All details welcome. First, agree among yourselves that I did a clever job of shifting the whole question of superficial beauty to deeper questions of the body. But Linnet and Piers are telling lies that aren’t exactly flattering: Linnet is claiming to be pregnant, and Piers is boasting of impotence. That’s not exactly abnormal-I had my future husband convinced that I was sweet, supportive, and a fabulous cook (I learned a lot from watching soaps). At the beginning of When Beauty Tames the Beast, neither Linnet nor Piers is strictly truthful with each other.
